April 30, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Lydeen Library (Rolfe Hall 4302),

APRIL 30th, Tues 4-6pm

How to make design and deliver classes that are as engaging as possible? Specifically, how do we do so in cases where classes lack synergy between students and teacher, are set at unideal/poor hours of the day, or consist of unusually large classes. What are some techniques that help activate all voices in the classroom? What are some quick and effective techniques of participation? Finally, what are some “best practices” of technology use in the classroom in order to ensure maximum engagement?

Panelists:
Dr. Kumkiko Haas, Director, Instructional Improvement Programs
Dr. Jan Reiff, Academic Senate Liaison for Online Education, Historian
Dr. Tara Prescott, Lecturer in Writing Programs
Rob Rodgers, Director at UCLA Educational Technology Systems – Learning Spaces
Cole Jack Pittman, Graduate Student, English

Dr. Adrienne Lavine, Faculty Director of Center for the Advancement of Teaching, Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
